The new staff of Sparta High School's newspaper, The Oracle, has decided to take their articles to a new level: digital. Maddie Cuan, the Editor-in-Chief, has created a new website in order to reach more students, staff, and those in the Spartan community interested in learning more about the school and the world around them.
Below are a few featured articles that the students are kicking off this year's newspaper with:
Alex and Rhett Curran write an advice column named “Twins Advice," centered around answering questions that range from freshman survival 101 to coping with senioritis. The Currans will post advice every Monday.
Emily Johnson writes a “Street Style" column, which will feature a student in order to celebrate their unique style with a short interview. This will give students the fashion updates they need in order to keep up with all the latest trends. Ms. Johnson will post a new feature every Thursday.
Elise Kerim writes “Humans of SHS” modeled after the popular “Humans of New York,” asking students their perspective of the world around them. Ms. Kerim will post a new article every Friday.
Bridget Higdon writes a book review: informing you on what you should (and should not) read. Additionally, Becca Senatore and Liam Armstrong write about current events and issues both at home and abroad. They post every sunday to keep you updated.
Devon Reid writes a pop culture article, keeping you aware of the rapidly changing, modern society. Ms. Reid will post a new article every Tuesday.
These featured examples will appear in between sports coverage, club news, SHS events, and more. Enjoy our site, start reading, and make sure to subscribe to The Oracle for weekly newsletters so you never miss an update!
