The Celebrity Dance coach who owns Abby Lee Dance Co. in western Pennsylvania, pleaded not-guilty to the alleged charge of concealing $755,000 of her income. She gathers her income from Lifetime network and spin off projects of her Chapter 11 bankruptcy. She was present in court on Monday in Pittsburgh where, if convicted, she faced $250,000 in fines for each of the 20 counts against her and 5 years in prison. In December 2010, she claimed Chapter 11 bankruptcy for her dance studio, which is a form of bankruptcy reorganization available to individuals, corporations and partnerships. It has no limits on the amount of debt, as Chapter 13 does. She was accused of scheming to illegally obtain money to hide part of her income and placing it in undisclosed banks. Federal investigators found emails, sent from Miller to a partner that stated lines such as "Let's make money and keep me out of jail," directing the partner to "not raise any red flags" and "don't put cash in the bank," in 2013. The trial date is yet to be set, but Miller must inform the feds of any international travel. To be frank, I’m not sure she can dance her way out of this one!
