Winter Formal Soon to Begin at Sparta High

As tickets sales for the Winter Formal begin this week, it seems that buzz about the event is growing faster than ever. In order to find out more about the Winter Formal, I talked to Sean Schoch, president of the student council.

“Many preparations have been made for this dance, including music, decorations, and food. I don’t want to spoil all the surprises, so you’ll have to attend the dance to see it all come together,” Schoch informed us when asked about what went into the planning of the dance.

Schoch also explained why Juniors and Seniors are only allowed to attend the dance (with the exception of underclassmen asked to attend with upperclassmen) stating, “It was a tradition that was started many years ago, and it hasn’t been changed since then. It’s an event that students look forward to their Junior and Senior years.”

Schoch says that the student council and the school staff will have everything in complete running order, commenting, “The most important thing is to have fun, and we’ll take care of the rest.”

The Winter Formal will be January 16th at 7pm. Tickets go on sale the 11th and are forty dollars per person.
